John Seed is the firm’s criminal defense specialist, with a particular focus on defense against OUI (drunk-driving) and drug charges. In addition to OUI cases, he has a successful record defending college students, weapons and gun charges, drug offenses, and violent crimes.
Attorney Seed has built deep expertise in criminal defense, practicing both prosecution and defense throughout his career. Prior to partnering with Joshua Krefetz to found Krefetz & Seed, Attorney Seed began his legal career as a civil litigator in the City of Boston Law Department. He then moved to the Chelsea office of the Suffolk County District Attorney. Attorney Seed was later promoted to supervising prosecutor for the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods of Boston, where he tried over 150 cases before a judge or jury. During his tenure as a prosecutor, Attorney Seed handled over 2000 OUI cases and over 750 drug cases. After leaving the D.A.’s office, Attorney Seed ran a successful solo criminal defense practice in Chelsea before establishing Krefetz & Seed in 2012.
